Climate
Nepal’s climate varies with its topography. It ranges
from tropical to arctic depending upon the altitude. Nepal
has four climatic seasons:
Fall
(Sept – Nov): Offers excellent weather and
tantalizing mountain views.
Spring
(March – May): Different varieties of wild
flowers – especially the rhododendrons – and excellent
Himalayan views make the hillside above 5000 meters a hunting
paradise. The temperature is mildly warm in the plains and
lower hills, and moderate at higher elevations over 4000 meters.
Winter (Dec – Feb): Noted for occasional
snowfall only at higher elevations, this season is ideal for
travelling or trekking at lower elevations, generally below
3000 meters.
Summer
(June – Aug): Travel is warm and wet with monsoon
up till September
