Trishuli:
The most popular river expedition because of relative easy
access from Kathmandu. Some impressive gorges, lots of wildlife
and relatively safe rapids.Days can be continued to Royal
Chitwan National Park.
Marsyangdi:
A
one day trek through remote Gurung villages leads us to the
Marsyangdi, one of the most challenging white water rivers
in the world. Enjoy magnificent views of the Himalayas, as
we work together to run these non-stop, exhilarating, steep
and technical rapids. Check out Marsyangdi Madness - you'll
see what we mean...
Sun
Koshi:
Sun Koshi drains the snow melt from the Langtang and Phurbichyachu
Himals, boardering Tibet and beyond, through the Bhote Koshi,
and flowing on into India to meet the Ganges. Rapids encountered
are between Grades 3-5.From the "put in " at Dolalghat
to the "take out" 270km away at Chatara, near Dharan
in eastern Nepal, the river descends 500 meters.
Kali
Gandaki:
Nepal's newest and wildest beautiful river offers not only
wilderness, waterfalls and wildlife, but also the chance to
experience some exciting white water. The eerie and derelict
palaces are the main attraction in this trip.
Bheri:
A wide and easy trip, it is remote, unspoiled and full of
beautiful scenery. This trip can be combined for jungle activities
in BARDIA National Park.
Karnali:
Nepal's longest and largest River, is located in the remote
reaches of the country, rising in Tibet near Mt. Kailash. This
is definately a world classic combination trip for trekking,
white water rafting and wilderness exploration.
All
rafting equipment is carried by porters as we trek to the
river through one of the most remote parts of Nepal. Remarkable
pristine jungle scenery with canyons, deserted beaches and
small villages will be found along the way. The river boats
a continuous series of increasing rapids and waterfalls along
one of the best fishing areas of Nepal. The Karnali eventually
passes through the Royal Bardia National Park to join the
Ganges in India - we'll pull you out before then.
Bhote
Koshi:
A short bus ride from Kathmandu brings us to "Sukute
Beach Adventure Camp" (KM 69) on the Kathmandu - Tibet
road. 26 km further from the camp is the put-in of the most
action packed short white water run in Nepal. The river drops
steeply offering relentless stretches of class III-IV white
water. Boulder gardens, small waterfalls, steep chutes and
90 degree ends are just some of the obstacles to be overcome.
Like the Marsyangdi, this river is not typical of the big
volume waters of the Himalaya. It is steep, technical and
requires a reactive crew.
